JAKARTA, Indonesia - An Indonesian authority says no less than 23 individuals has died after a ship burst into flames close to the capital, Jakarta.
The vessel was conveying around 100 individuals from Jakarta's port of Muara Angke to Tidung, a resort island in the Kepulauan Seribu chain situated off of Jakarta, when it burst into flames Sunday.
Seply Madreto, an 0fficial from the nearby Disaster Mitigation Agency, told MetroTV that more than 10 casualties were raced to clinics.
He said the fire gutted through in regards to half of the ship.
